What is a battery and inverter cover?

A battery and inverter cover (also called a solar battery enclosure or battery box) is an outdoor housing fitted over a wall-mounted home battery, hybrid inverter, isolators and cabling. It protects the installation from rain, frost, snow, wind and UV, deters theft and tampering, keeps airflow for safe operation and hides the equipment so it blends into the house exterior.
